How FellDesk protects your client data

Running a client directory digitally means processing personal data. Here is a verifiable account of how that works at FellDesk.

Servers in Germany

The application and database run with a German provider whose data centre is located in Germany. Processing therefore takes place within the EU, and no additional basis for a third-country transfer under Chapter V of the GDPR is required.

Encrypted transmission

Every request runs over HTTPS. The session cookie is set to Secure, HttpOnly, and SameSite, so it can neither be transmitted unencrypted nor read by JavaScript.

No trackers, no third-party CDN

FellDesk loads not a single file from an external server - no Google Fonts, no analytics, no ad networks. Fonts and styles sit on our own server. You can verify this in any browser using the network panel.

Separated data

Each business sees only its own clients, animals, and appointments. The assignment happens server-side on every query, not merely in the display layer.

Regular backups

The database is backed up at the host. An outage is therefore not a data loss - unlike a paper file, for which no second copy exists.

Deletion on request

If one of your clients requests erasure, you can remove the record yourself. If you want your entire account deleted, an informal email is enough.

Your rights and those of your clients

  • You remain the controller for your clients data. FellDesk processes it solely on your instructions.
  • Your clients can request access to the data you hold (Art. 15 GDPR). The client directory shows everything about one person in a single place.
  • You carry out rectification and erasure of individual records yourself (Art. 16 and 17 GDPR).
  • The Data Processing Agreement (DPA under Art. 28 GDPR) is digitally included directly in the Terms of Service.
  • Your data belongs to you – full data export/release is available at any time without additional fees.
Questions & Answers

Questions about privacy and security
