Cancelling one round doesn't cancel the series
Recurring appointments in FellDesk are real individual appointments, not one rule controlling everything at once. The Tuesday when Ms. Rittmeyer is on vacation gets cancelled — the other twenty stay as they are.

What the first week looks like
No import, no training. Three steps, two of which happen alongside your work — and the third is the one that carries the round.
Choose your business type
When you create the account you pick "pet sitter". From then on every pet record carries the fields that matter on the road: feeding and medication plan, compatibility with other animals, vaccination status including expiry date, and the vet emergency contact.
Add animals at the first booking
You do not retype your whole client list. Each animal gets its record at the first booking — when you receive the details from the owner anyway. After two or three weeks your regular circle is covered.
Enter the round as a series
You enter the Tuesday round once — weekly, fortnightly or monthly. From then on it appears in the calendar by itself. If one round is dropped because the owner is away, you cancel that single appointment; the rest of the series continues.
Before you start
The moment someone else takes over
Holiday, illness, one round too many for a single day: sooner or later a stand-in takes your round. That is exactly when it turns out whether the details lived in your head or in the record. How much food, which medication when, which dog does not get along with others, how long the vaccination protection lasts — all of it sits with the animal, not in a chat history.
The vaccination status carries an expiry date. That way you see before booking whether protection still holds for the care period, instead of noticing afterwards.
